Angelica Houston is the complete opposite of me, which is perhaps why I love her so much (grass greener on the other side and all that). She is inherently stylish, all angles and dark features. When I grow up I want to be Angelica Houston.

New York, New York

Forgive me for the lack of posts this past week, but my much loved computer decided to die on me and I'm too lazy to make the trek to Uni, especially as traffic has been a killer lately. So until my brand spanking new computer arrives in the mail I'm afraid I won't be posting as much as I would like. Anyway, apologies out of the way I thought I would post some pictures taken at the opening of Derek Lam's New York store. Personally I covet Daria Strokous (top left) two toned heels, Maryna Linchuk's (bottom right) whole outfit (and carefree hair) and Zuzana Gregorova's (top right) attitude.

New Buys

I'm a bit in love with blue at the moment and every chance I get I find myself pairing blue and black together. So when I saw these blue wayfarers I had to have them. Sure, I get a few odd looks when I wear them (they are blindingly bright), but I love them all the same. What do you think?

Kate Bosworth

As much as love Lou Doillin in the ruffled red Nina Ricci strapless number, Kate Bosworth looks simply amazing. The lace Stella McCartney, red lips, 1950's starlet hair. Everything is perfect. She looks like a modern day Veronica Lake don't you think?

Red Love

Is it just me or does Lou Doillin look truly and utterly stunning? The colour, the cut, the over the top ruffle detail and understated hair. My goodness, if owned that Nina Ricci creation I would never take it off. Ever.

Birthday Celebrations

I turned 22 early last week and spent a wonderful and surprisingly warm April day sleeping in, shopping, gorging myself on Sushi and having the most delicious birthday dinner at Wah Hing in Gouger Street (shredded duck soup and honey king prawns!). I was incredibly spoilt (I scored myself some Narciso Rodriguez perfume courtesy of my very generous and much loved parents) and finally bought a much lusted after black tuxedo jacket. Above are a some pictures from the day (sorry there are so many but I love them all!).

RAFW - Romance Was Born

Viewing a Romance Was Born collection can be more than a little overwhelming. The bright colours and bold designs are all very avant garde, but when each piece is viewed separately you begin to understand why Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett have such a huge following. I'm not even going to mention how fantastic their set design is.

RAFW - Gary Bigeni

I realise I use the words beautiful, love and gorgeous rather frequently when discussing clothes, but all those words apply to the new collection by Gary Bigeni. The vibrant purple and mint green creations were a particular favourite.

Floral prints are a wonderful way to complete an outfit and the gorgeous 50's floral prints seen at Karla Spectic are very nearly perfect.

RAFW - Kirrily Johnston

For a spring/collection Kirrily Johnston stuck to a autumn palette. Flesh toned colours, burnt orange and iconic black was mixed with long lines and loose structure. Slightly strange for warmer weather, but I'm loving it all the same.
